Pamela, this is how we take the Georgia State House from red to blue

Win 10 seats. Take the State House. Change Georgians’ lives.

“GA Takes the House”

Fair Fight has a plan to pick up the 10 seats Democrats need to win control of the Georgia State House — but it’s going to take strong grassroots support.

Chip in now to help hit our $15,000 goal by Monday, elect Democracy Champions, and protect voting rights.

Pamela,

The math is clear: For the first time since 2004, Georgia Democrats have a chance to take a state legislative chamber. We only need to pick up 10 seats to win control of the State House — not as many as we gained in 2018.

But it will take work: supporting House candidates, volunteering, making a voting plan, and making sure friends and family are registered and ready to vote.

In 2019, Fair Fight was created to do this work: door by door, seat by seat, cycle by cycle. We have watched Georgia trend blue because people keep showing up and engaging, even after the votes are counted.

Now Fair Fight is working to flip the State House and set a goal of raising $15,000 by Monday’s end-of-month deadline. Will you make a donation of any amount today as Fair Fight works to take the State House, elect Democracy Champions, and protect voting rights?

Georgians have gotten used to being told what is impossible.

We’ve gotten better at proving the doubters wrong.

For decades, conventional wisdom held that a Democrat could not come close to winning the governor’s office, that a legislature drawn by politicians who rigged the maps to keep control could not change, that Georgia wouldn’t vote blue in a presidential election.

Yet, between 2014 and 2020, Democrats added 800,000 Georgians to the process and proved otherwise. In 2018, we flipped 11 State House seats. In 2020, Georgia elected Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock.

And we’ve won more legislative seats in every election since then, putting us in a strong position to finally take control of the chamber.

And take it from someone who’s served as Minority Leader in the Georgia State House: laws passed in the State House affect daily life in Georgia — determining if families can afford to pay the rent or mortgage, see a doctor, and send their kids to schools with enough teachers and books.

If we all do our part in this final sprint to Election Day, Georgia families will have a State House focused on lowering costs, expanding opportunity, and protecting our freedoms — not politicians who use power to help themselves.

Fair Fight has a proven model of outreach, education, and voter protection. They are laser-focused on winning the seats needed to flip the State House. But I’m reaching out to you, Pamela, because Fair Fight needs our support to hit this $15,000 goal by Monday’s deadline. Can you rush a donation of any amount today?

Thank you,
Stacey Abrams
