Did you see that the President promised pardons for the entire White House staff? Which I guess is the kind of thing you do when you run the White House like a casino.

Maybe the West Wing staff are too busy placing online bets on their own war to notice, but Americans are getting hurt.

Hurt by illegal tariffs. Hurt by skyrocketing healthcare premiums. Hurt by skyrocketing inflation. But amidst all this pain, we can rest assured, the Mar-a-Lago mafia is finding ways to profit.

Because in Donald Trump’s America, the rich get tax cuts and stock tips while everyone else makes sacrifices.

But the crisis we must meet is deeper than this Presidency. Trump’s rise is proof that business as usual has failed. Our politics, sickened by corruption, is failing the American public and compromising our national integrity.

Our task is not just to contain today’s wickedness, but to repair the deeper brokenness beneath it — and then to advance into a new era of reform, progress, and justice.

And in that struggle, these midterm elections will be decisive.
