I know the truth

There have been a lot of new developments in our Senate race lately, so I wanted to personally reach out and share some thoughts with you.

The past few weeks, we saw polls showing me running neck and neck or even slightly ahead of my opponent, Jon Husted.

We saw another article come out saying that Ohio is one of the most likely Republican-held Senate seats to flip.

We saw yet another expert – this time, Nate Silver – officially rank our race a Toss Up.

Look, the GOP and their extreme super PACs will try to spin what we’re seeing and continue to attack me with lying ads – but I know the truth:

The grassroots movement we’re building in Ohio is more powerful than ever, and we have hundreds of thousands of people on our side who are ready to put working people first and take on the billionaires and corporate interests rigging the system.

I am grateful for every person like you who chips in, signs up, or simply reads our emails. Nobody thought we had a shot at the beginning of this election, but we’re now on the path to flipping this seat and the Senate majority. It’s all thanks to you.

And today, I need your help to keep up our incredible momentum. Republican dark-money groups are ramping up their spending by the day, and Husted and his allies are coming after me with everything they’ve got. I’m short of the critical resources it takes to fight back.
