Every dollar means we can show up stronger, move faster, and fight where it counts.
Hi Pamela -- Josh here.
I want to introduce myself -- I'm Josh Peck, Climate Power's new Executive Director. Lori told you about what this organization accomplished in 2025: Clean energy won elections in New Jersey, Virginia, and Georgia, and a 19-point drop in Trump's approval on energy.
And I'm here to tell you our plan for what's next.
After spending my first few months here talking to people across the country -- supporters, partners, organizers, and community leaders -- I keep hearing the same thing: Energy costs are skyrocketing. Families are watching their bills climb, and they want to know who's responsible. It's what our quantitative research shows, as well. And it's something we have solutions for: The Trump administration must answer for this affordability crisis.
This is our plan for Climate Power in the year ahead -- and why we need your support to make it happen. We will:
- Make utility costs a defining political issue. In 2025, we made sure there was a political cost when utilities jacked up rates. This year, we'll expand that work -- exposing how fossil fuel obstruction and blocked clean energy projects drive up energy bills. With the potential for utility bills to be a major issue in November's elections, we need the resources to take this message into the races where it can make a difference.
- Elect climate champions and defeat obstructionists. We'll back candidates who will lower costs and protect communities, and we'll make sure voters know exactly who's standing with the Oil and Gas billionaires instead of standing with the American people. Every race we win proves climate action isn't just good policy -- it's good politics.
- Build the infrastructure for long-term wins. 2026 is our testing ground. We'll experiment with new campaign tactics and communications strategies, so we're not just winning this cycle, we're building the playbook to win bigger in 2028 and beyond.
We know what works. We proved it.
Now, we need the resources to scale our operation -- rapid response, the creator network, the digital campaigns, the on-the-ground work in every state where this fight matters. Will you chip in to help us build this operation?
