Pamela, Trump threatened Iran and refused to rule out launching strikes in his State of the Union address in a dangerous push toward a new endless war.
Congress must block this reckless march immediately.
The stakes are perilous: Even limited strikes could ignite violence that could quickly cross multiple borders, with no clear end. Any U.S. military operation will have untold and deadly consequences for people in Iran, U.S. servicemembers, and millions across the region. That's why we're racing to stop any action before it starts.
Reps. Khanna and Massie's bipartisan war powers resolution (WPR) to prohibit the use of force against Iran is expected to get a vote in the House as soon as next week. Sens. Kaine and Paul's parallel Senate legislation is likely to come up soon as well.
With these critical votes happening soon, lawmakers need to hear from constituents like you immediately. It's pressure from groups like ours and people like you, Pamela, that can get a WPR the support it needs to send Trump an undeniable message: No War.

Congress has not just a constitutional responsibility, but a moral obligation to prevent Trump from launching another war. Anything less is a failure and dereliction of duty — one that emboldens Trump to act with reckless disregard for our Constitution and for human lives, from here to the Middle East.
Unfortunately, we're seeing troubling signs that lawmakers could capitulate. That includes Democrats like Reps. Josh Gottheimer and Jared Moskowitz, who seem poised to cede ground to Trump and his authoritarian ambitions, and forego even so much as a debate about whether to order lethal strikes and send U.S. servicemembers into harm's way for another deadly, destabilizing regime change war.
We deserve better than elected officials who would reject the will of the people — the 70% majority — who oppose war with Iran. That's why we're gearing up to get and stay loud until our demands are heard.
With just the narrowest of windows to stop this war before it begins, we're mobilizing to do everything in our power to put up roadblocks every step of the way.
The most compelling voices in moments like these are from constituents like you, Pamela, so let's use them to send a message tens of thousands of people strong: No War with Iran!
