Friends, For weeks, Senate Democrats have made it clear that without meaningful reforms to rein in ICE and stop the violence, we will not support Republicans’ Homeland Security bill. Now, we have a partial government shutdown because Republicans put a bill on the floor that would ignore the abuses and extend the awful status quo. That’s unacceptable.
