New details on the Fulton County elections office raid by Trump's FBI 

Pamela, "Much weaker than I suspected." "I can't figure out how this got through any proper review." "Rehashed conspiracy theories and debunked lies." Imagine turning in a paper and getting that feedback from your teacher. Well, those are just a few of the expert reactions to a recently unsealed FBI search warrant affidavit — which relied on disproven claims to try to justify their raid on an elections office in Georgia's largest county. Take a look: "It's hard to see how the contents of this affidavit rise to the level of probable cause." —Joyce Vance, former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama "I didn't see anything in my first read of this about the sources' credibility — their views of the election, anything that would suggest bias, motive, inaccuracies — and that's exactly what you have to put in...I just don't know that I can think of another warrant where I've not seen such information about the sources of information included. That's not normal, especially in something this high profile." —Andrew Weissmann, former General Counsel for the FBI, Chief of the Criminal Fraud Section of the DOJ, and Assistant United States Attorney "The basis for the FBI raid in Fulton County appears to be a lot of previously disproven allegations." —Miles Taylor, former national security official And here's what it all comes down to: "Why are they doing this? Because Trump wants to get his hands on our votes. He said Republicans should run elections. This is a power grab, creating a pretense to interfere in the 2026 elections." —Lauren Groh-Wargo, CEO, Fair Fight In the raid, Trump's FBI seized hundreds of boxes of ballots and records from 2020, which they could use to try to justify a takeover of local election administration by Georgia's MAGA-aligned State Election Board — just in time for the midterms.  MAGA's intentions are clear: silence the will of the people.
