Public schools should be a place of learning and curiosity, not fear. Write to your Attorney General today to ensure ICE is kept out of public schools and our students are protected. Schools are being forced to cancel classes in order to keep their students safe. Educators are left picking up the pieces, managing panicked students rather than teaching. Teachers have been detained near schools; parents no longer trust that schools are safe from federal agents. Our students shouldn't be terrified of going to school. We need ICE out of our schools.
