But first, let me explain why your support is so important using one of my favorite Alaska winter activities – and our official state sport!  When I was growing up, salmon fishing in the summers and dog mushing in the winters, Alaska was a place of abundance.
I still love to be outside. It reminds me of being a kid.
But the abundance I remember doesn't exist anymore. Now, all across Alaska, we have scarcity.
Multi-national companies are trawling our waters and decimating our fish stocks. The moose, caribou, and migratory birds that used to fill our freezers are harder to find.
So we buy more groceries, where the prices are just crushing Alaska families.
I'm tired of politicians in DC doing nothing to stop it. All while they profit off that very same system.
That's why I'm running to fight for Alaska's future. Systemic change is the only way to fill our homes with abundance again.
But it won't be a smooth course to the finish line. We're racing against corporate donors and dark money groups who are going to spend big because they don't want the rigged system to change. They're the only ones this broken system is working for!
So here's where the lessons I learned from dog mushing come in:
As long as we're all pulling in the same direction, we can win this.
It's all about the team, and I know we have an amazing grassroots movement that can take this on. Thousands of people have already pitched in to help us win this seat because they want to unrig the system in DC.
