But here's what you don't see. Service members carrying packs that weigh more than 100 pounds, sweating under a relentless sun. No air conditioning. Little relief. Sometimes just a tent for shade.

Then a USO delivery arrives. Water, snacks, hygiene items and other essentials that bring a much-needed reminder of home in the midst of harsh conditions.
As extreme heat intensifies, support is not keeping pace with our troops' growing needs. More than ever, we need to make sure our service members feel recognized and supported.

As extreme heat increases, the needs of our service members are rising just as quickly. Summer is often a time we think of vacations and cooling off — but our deployed troops don't get a break, often carrying out challenging missions in relentless heat.
That's why we urgently need 25,000 supporters to step forward by July 31 to help provide critical resources to troops facing extreme weather this summer. Your generosity helps ensure our vital programs continue without interruption for our men and women in uniform every single day, no matter where they serve.
