40%

That's our shot at the Senate majority according to forecasters.

Decision Desk HQ just updated its 2026 forecast, friend.

Here's where we stand: Democrats have a 40% chance of winning back the Senate.

Graphic: Senate forecast showing that the Senate leans slightly Republican at 40% to 60% after the midterms

I'm not going to spin that for you. It means we're the underdog. But it also means this is genuinely winnable, and that what happens between now and November is what will decide it.

Contribute now before our end-of-month deadline and let's win back the Senate:

Think about where this started. This map was written off before the cycle began — six Republican-held seats to contest in states Trump carried, and a party nobody gave a real chance. The forecasters had us nowhere near this.

Now we're within a few points in state after state, and the majority is four seats away.

And here's what people miss about a number like 40%: it isn't a verdict. It's a snapshot, and it moves every single week. What moves it is field organizers hired, ads booked, doors knocked, volunteers trained.

Every one of those things is paid for by what we raise, and every one of them nudges that number our way. That's why I’m asking for your support before midnight on July 31.

Chip in right now to help us beat the odds and take back the Senate this November.

DONATE

Sincerely,

Chuck Schumer
