And he's using every dirty trick he can to push it through Congress. Two weeks ago, Johnson made it clear that passing the SAVE Act is his and Trump's "top priority."1 And he was blunt that the bill is a way to target Democrats and blue states. He said that it "eliminates the problem ... everything that everybody's concerned about in our elections, particularly, frankly, in these blue states."2 On Wednesday, Johnson snuck the SAVE Act into an unrelated spending bill—and now it’s headed to the Senate.3 If we don't stop the SAVE Act, tens of millions of Americans might not be able to vote this year, and our country's electoral integrity might never recover.
