Dear USO Supporter,
Tomorrow is Gold Star Mother's and Family's Day, a day to pause and think of the loved ones who received the news no one wants to receive: Their loved one lost their life in the line of duty.
The Gold Star is a symbol most people hope they never have to understand. For Gold Star families, it represents both the ultimate sacrifice of a fallen loved one and the profound grief and ongoing healing that follows.
Sarah Morgan understands that loss firsthand. Her husband and high school sweetheart, Paul, was killed at the height of the war in Afghanistan.
For Sarah, honoring Paul's memory means ensuring that his service and sacrifice are never forgotten. Knowing that others continue to remember him reminds her that his life and legacy still matter.
