Abuse and inhumane conditions are well-documented across ICE detention centers — from Alligator Alcatraz to longstanding immigrant prisons throughout the country. ICE currently holds a record 66,000+ detainees in its prisons, and the agency wants to further expand its facilities to warehouse-like "mega detention centers."
