Pamela,
In moments like this, many of us are feeling grief, anger, and urgency all at once. But we must turn our collective pain into action to stop ICE and authoritarianism in its tracks.
That's why Pramila is inviting you to join The Resistance Lab: Stand For Good on Sunday, January 25th at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET — A virtual organizing training with special guest Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison.
Held in honor of Renee Good and the many communities and individuals brutalized by ICE's reign of terror, this session features non-violent resistance tactics to weed out authoritarianism from its shallow hold in our country. If you're interested in joining, you can RSVP using this link.
This session, Stand For Good, will focus on immigration justice and nonviolent resistance. Together, we'll hold space to process the pain of ICE violence happening across the country, learn from one another, and build real strategies to support immigrant communities and confront authoritarianism where we live.
Authoritarianism is on the rise, and history shows it is everyday people, organized together, who stop it. That's why Pramila launched the Resistance Lab — to help people understand how democracies erode, how nonviolent movements have successfully fought back, and what we can do right now to resist in our own communities.
In this session, you'll:
✔️ Learn how authoritarianism takes control and how it's taking over our country in this moment
✔️ Study real examples of successful nonviolent resistance movements
✔️ Brainstorm concrete actions to support immigrant communities and demand accountability
✔️ Connect in regional breakout groups to build local strategy and solidarity
Whether you've joined a Resistance Lab before or this is your first time, we'd love to have you with us. So, if you're ready to stand up, speak out, and take action, we hope you'll join us on Sunday at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET!
See you soon!
— Team Jayapal
