As you read this, snowy and icy conditions are gripping our nation. As we try to stay warm, we cannot forget the brave members of our military who are responding in the cold and harsh weather — or those who are already serving in some of the coldest and most remote areas of the world.

National Guard units have been activated to support state and local responders and assist affected communities. While we may not fully understand every challenge they face — from working in freezing conditions to being away from their families during an ongoing emergency — we can show them that military supporters who understand and appreciate the sacrifices they make are out there.
