Pamela, Tell Congress: Keep the Office for Civil Rights in the Department of Education! The Trump administration is taking on another attack on Civil Rights. As part of an attempt to cover up civil rights violations, they are shuffling the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights to the Justice Department. The Justice Department does not have to review every complaint it receives―but the Department of Education’s OCR does. This is a coverup, plain and simple: They want to stop measuring civil rights violations, so that they can get away with committing more of them. We can’t let them.
