The race for the Senate is a coin flip, and races in Alaska, Iowa, Maine, Ohio, and Texas are all rated as “Toss-Ups.”

Here's what I keep telling our team: The last month is the only one that counts. In some states, people start voting within weeks. Every argument we're going to make, every ad that's going to change a mind, happens between now and Election Day.

And Republicans know it. Trump-aligned super PACs have reserved more than $150 million in new ads, and across the nine most competitive Senate races, Republicans have pledged $557 million to our $343 million. One of their strategists looked at the battleground map and said "the cavalry has come."

We will never match that. We don't have to. What we have to do is keep our candidates on the air in all five of those toss-ups through Election Day, and that depends entirely on whether grassroots support holds up for one more month, or tapers off right when it matters most.

This is the stretch where campaigns are won. Not in the polling, not in the headlines — in whether we can answer their ads in the final weeks.

Let's not take our foot off the gas now.
