I just made a tough call

Folks, I just had to make a really tough call.

My opponent’s outside spenders are going full throttle against me. Crypto billionaires just mounted another $30 million ad blitz that will run against me in the next few weeks. Their first ads have already started airing.

It’s uglier than I expected. It’s more lies, more deception, and more distractions.

The good news: We saw a surge of grassroots support around our end-of-quarter deadline and a record-breaking number of folks made their first-ever donation to my campaign. It’s remarkable seeing what this team can do when we need help the most.

The tougher news: We’re losing ground in important parts of Ohio, and we need more cash-on-hand to mount a strong response against this latest attack. With 30 days left to go, we can’t afford any slip ups.

So I told my team to wire the $2.5 million we needed to keep our own ads running, even though we don’t have the money for it in our budget.

It’s a gamble, but with so much on the line, we can’t afford to play it safe. We’re within striking distance of winning Ohio, and I refuse to let the Republicans’ outside spending knock us down.

In a race so close, reaching even 1,000 more voters this week could mean the difference between victory and defeat.
