I’m not sending this email to everybody. Just to the folks I know care about this battleground race in Ohio and know what’s at stake if we don’t win.

Ohio will be the tiebreaking seat for a Democratic Senate majority. But with The New York Times reporting that crypto billionaires are adding another $30 million against us, it just got a lot tougher to win.

A lot is riding on this race, and I don’t take that lightly. I know Ohioans are counting on me to mount this comeback bid and pave the path to Senate control.

But I also feel tremendous gratitude and optimism. I’ve never seen energy like we’re building, and folks are showing up in droves to make a difference this year.

When we win this race, it won’t be because crypto billionaires or Elon Musk came to my rescue (that’s my opponent’s strategy). No – when we win, it will be because a student in Athens gave $1, a teacher in Dayton gave $5 every month, and a concerned mother in Westerville gave $10 too. Any donation, no matter the amount, fuels our grassroots fight.

One donation could be all it takes. But with 3 days until early voting starts in Ohio, we’re still neck and neck in the polls. We’re running out of time to sway persuadable voters.
