Pamela —The DNC votes TOMORROW on whether to ban ranked choice voting from 2028 Democratic presidential primaries in the where voters already made RCV the law. The plan is hiding inside a Rules & Bylaws Committee amendment that bans ranked ballots in primaries, and tells the party to ignore every choice past your first when handing out delegates. Millions of voters second, third, and fourth picks would just vanish. Here's the part that should make you angry. The DNC unanimously approved RCV plans back in 2020. Six state parties have used them since. As recently as late last year, DNC leaders were floating an expansion of ranked choice voting. Less than a year later, they want to kill it. Now, the College Democrats of America are leading the charge to FIGHT the DNC and will deliver this petition in person tomorrow telling the DNC to respect voters and not strip away rights from who use ranked choice voting.
