Jon Husted stands with data centers. I stand with you.

We need to talk about data centers.

My opponent Jon Husted has been called the face of data centers in Ohio. He aggressively recruited them to Ohio and gave them huge tax breaks, while electricity bills exploded for ordinary residents.

Me? I think these companies should pay for their own damn electricity.

The fact is, data centers draw a ton of electricity from the grid. That demand drives up costs across the whole system, and right now, that cost gets passed along to regular folks. That's why Ohio families are seeing higher electric bills.

Jon Husted doesn't care that Ohioans are footing the bill. Instead, he fast-tracked approvals for data centers and cut them sweetheart tax deals, while working people struggled to afford gas and groceries.

When he was asked about it, Husted said Ohioans should look in the mirror, that "we are the problem." He said if folks don't like data centers, they can "go back to the bunny ear antenna" on their TVs and stop using digital products.

I find that mindset infuriating. Husted is blaming you. He doesn’t seem to think the ultrawealthy tech companies driving up your bill have anything to do with it.

That tells you everything about who Jon Husted works for. And who he's fighting for.

My position is simpler. Data centers should pay the full cost of the electricity they use. That's it. That's the whole idea. Ohio families shouldn't pay more on their energy bills so big corporations can protect their profits.

That's not radical. That's basic fairness.

And it's the key difference between Jon Husted and me. When the choice comes down to a corporation's profits or a family's budget, he picks the corporation every time.

I pick working families. Every time.

But I can only keep fighting if I flip this battleground seat. National Republicans, Elon Musk, and their corporate special interests are spending over $130 million to stop us.
