Pamela, we did it. We won last night’s primary election.
By the time of the election, the opposition — led by dark money groups and AIPAC — poured more than $70 million on ads for our opponent or attacking us.
We didn't outspend them. We couldn't have.
We won because hundreds of thousands of you decided this seat wasn't for sale — not to corporate PACs, not to billionaires, not to anybody writing a check to keep things exactly the way they are.
Grassroots money is the only thing that beats that kind of spending. It's the only thing that beats it again in November, Pamela.
I got into this race because it shouldn't be this hard, in the richest country in the world, to see a doctor or pay your bills or believe your kids will have it better than you did.
Yesterday, Michigan told the political class we're not interested in more of the same broken status quo.
Today, we move into the general election phase of this race with one mission: Defeat a MAGA Republican who has Trump's blessing and the national GOP's money behind him.
This victory was well-earned. But now, it's time to lock in and keep this must-win Senate seat blue.
If you’re with me, will you add your name today and join me as we continue the fight?
In solidarity,
Abdul
