Pamela, this morning, a sitting U.S. president threatened genocide.
Trump's morning declaration that "A whole civilization will die tonight" — unless the Iranian government opens the Strait of Hormuz — is not bluster. It is a threat of mass atrocities from the leader of the most powerful military on earth.
Right now, 93 MILLION people are at incredible, unnecessary risk.
Here's what we know: Our champions in Congress are moving fast to force the House back into session to vote on a war powers resolution that would rein Trump in. Republicans are being pressured by their own base to oppose this war. The next few hours matter enormously.
What can tip the balance to end the violence? You. A flood of constituent messages hitting congressional inboxes today — demanding an end to this war — can shift the political calculus before lawmakers cast another vote.
| ACT NOW |
The stakes could not be higher. Over the past 38 days, a U.S-Israeli-led war has killed more than 3,500 people in Iran alone, including many children. Hundreds more across the region — including 13 U.S. servicemembers — are dead. It’s put millions of people at incredible risk and incited a global economic crisis. None of us is made safer.
Last week, Trump again made it painfully clear: He has no plan. No exit. No endgame. All he has is a catastrophic, unpopular war with no end in sight.
Pamela: Congress needs to end this war NOW.
Here’s how this petition works and why it’s effective: When you sign (and you should, even if you’ve signed others like it – every message matters!), it’ll trigger an automatic email to every member of Congress, letting them know that constituents like you, along with tens of thousands of other people across the country oppose this war.
Tell Congress: Not one more dime for Trump’s violence. No more threats. No more war.
People who want this war to end ARE the majority — but our work is far from finished.
Silence today allows for continued violence tomorrow. That’s why we need you to join us again in speaking out.
War is not inevitable. War is a choice. Together, we will push our leaders to choose peace.
Thank you for working for peace,
The Win Without War team
