This is gerrymandering

We’re fighting back for fair maps with a pro-democracy coalition

Pamela,

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has called a special session of the Florida legislature to redraw the state's congressional maps — which will meet this week. His new voting maps would hand Trump up to five additional Republican seats in the U.S. House by weakening the voting power of Black and Latino communities.

This is illegal under Florida's own constitution, which bans redrawing maps for partisan gain. But in true fashion of a Trump lackey, DeSantis is doing it anyway.

Here's the good news: 56% of Floridians oppose redrawing the maps, members of the state’s congressional caucus are opposed, and state lawmakers are already showing hesitation. The maps still have to pass both chambers of Florida’s legislature before DeSantis can sign them. That means we can stop this.

Here’s what YOU can do to help fight back against the partisan power grab happening in Florida:

📱Sign up to volunteer from anywhere in the country! We need volunteers to phone bank and encourage Florida voters to push calls into the state legislature. You can sign up for a shift here.

Fair maps mean fair representation for every Floridian. Let's make sure lawmakers hear that loud and clear.

In solidarity,

The Fair Fight Action Team
