| Here they go again, Pamela. Extremist lawmakers in Georgia are trying to pass another anti-voter bill — but we're fighting back alongside allies, and we're asking you to help stop legislation like this as we face a significant deadline in one day. SB 568 would strip away countywide early voting and force voters into a single assigned site. That means longer lines, more confusion, and another unfunded overhaul — just months before the pivotal midterms — possibly in an effort to strain our local elections system. Early voting is by far the most popular method of casting a ballot here in Georgia, across both parties. A dramatic change like SB 568 would require a full overhaul of voter education, election administration, and voters' plans to vote. But we still have time to stop the bill from becoming law. Friday, March 6 is "Crossover Day" for the Georgia General Assembly. That's the deadline for a piece of legislation to pass either the House or Senate so it can "cross over" and be considered by the other chamber before the end of the legislative session. In other words: if we can stop SB 568 from passing the Senate by tomorrow, we might be able to prevent it from coming up again this election year. With support from activists like you, we're getting the word out about the damage this bill would do, we're mobilizing Georgians to contact their lawmakers, and we're coordinating with a pro-voting rights coalition to keep anti-voter bills like this from passing. As we face this new test, please continue to power our fight with a donation of $30 or any amount today. If you've saved payment info with ActBlue Express, your donation will process automatically: One month from now, the Georgia General Assembly is scheduled to be out of session for the rest of 2026. And we hope we'll be able to say that, together, we held the line against new legislation that would restrict the freedom to vote. Last year, through legislative tracking, grassroots lobbying, public advocacy, and more, we were able to work with partners to stop new attempts at voter suppression — including cuts to early voting. We can continue mobilizing this team to stop harmful new bills from becoming law. But this work takes real resources. Your support helps make sure we can speak out against anti-voter bills like SB 568 at a moment's notice — and with the clock running out on Georgia's legislative session, it's imperative that we move as quickly as possible. Will you rush a donation today to help ensure equal access to the ballot box? In solidarity, The Fair Fight Action Team |
