Pamela, the Trump administration’s motives are clear: they’re trying to steal the 2026 election.
And they’re using every dirty trick and point of leverage they can think of to get their way – more than I can list in this email. But I wanted to tell you how Common Cause is fighting back:
- We’ve established a Fairness Criteria to address Trump’s mid-decade redistricting and are organizing at the state level – successfully stopping new maps in Indiana, Georgia, and South Carolina.
- We’ve taken action in more than a dozen cases across the country to stop the Trump DOJ from unlawfully collecting sensitive voter data as part of a new voter surveillance and purging database that would silence and violate the privacy rights of millions. [1]
- We’ve driven tens of thousands of calls and petitions to Congress demanding they reject Trump’s anti-voter SAVE Act – which could disenfranchise the 146 million Americans without passports and the 69 million American women whose birth certificates don’t match their married names. [2]
- And we’re building our largest Election Protection program yet – recruiting, training, and deploying thousands of nonpartisan volunteers to help voters at the polls.
Everything we’ve been working on this year comes down to one simple principle: this country’s future should be up to voters like you and me, NOT the Trump Administration’s intimidation campaign.
Here’s where you come in, Pamela: as Trump continues to ramp up ways to silence voters, we need to expand our Election Protection volunteer program to make sure that our voices are heard at the polls.
We recruit, train, and deploy thousands of nonpartisan volunteers each year to shield voters against confusing voting rules, outdated infrastructure, and any other challenges they face at the polls.
It costs around $50 to train and place one additional Election Protection volunteer this year – for these final primaries, during early voting, all the way to Election Day. (and after!) So, I am asking you today if you will sponsor one of these volunteers (or however many you can).
For just $50, you can sponsor an Election Protection volunteer to make an immediate difference for voters across the country and help ensure every voice is heard during this year’s pivotal midterm elections. Make a tax-deductible gift and sponsor a volunteer today! >>
