Today, the first-ever GOP midterm national convention begins in Dallas and they’re calling it the Great American Comeback. 🙄
But their idea of a Great American Comeback must be different than ours. We just had the highest Labor Day gas prices...ever. Utility bills have spiked as much as 18%. And it’s cost American families $3,500 more for basic living expenses.
While most Americans scramble for ways to afford their lives, Trump will take the stage surrounded by billionaire donors and try to paint a much different picture.
He might try to convince you that high gas prices are trivial, and that grocery prices are “way down." And he’ll try to say we should “let data reign” while he lets your utility bills get higher and higher.
The kicker is that Trump probably thinks he can get people to believe the flat out lies. But that’s where Climate Power comes in.
This convention does do a great job at something; it shows how out of touch Trump and the entire Republican party are.
This $40 million dollar, televised convention has no official party business. So, it looks like their only plan is to rub elbows with their billionaire donors and avoid the issue that Americans actually care about -- being able to afford their bills.
