Pamela, your action right now will decide if the 2026 election is up to We The People.
Just last night, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Alabama maps that would silence Black voters and upend the democratic process. [1]
Trump and his allies know that making it harder for voters like you to have your voices heard is their only chance to win.
That’s why they’re creating chaos at the last minute – redrawing maps after primaries have begun, changing polling locations, and even refusing to count ballots already cast. [2]
First, the Supreme Court gutted protections that gave all voters a fair shot at equal representation.
Anti-voter state politicians got to work immediately: Gov. Ron DeSantis rushed to approve new rigged maps [3], while Louisiana suspended their primaries and tossed out the votes already cast to force through their gerrymandered maps. [4]
Add in Trump’s recent illegal executive order to ban mail-in voting and threats to put ICE at the polls; we’re facing an all-out assault on your right to vote this year.
That’s why our Election Protection volunteer program is so important. It brings together volunteer power, state-level knowledge, and legal expertise to make these anti-voter tactics unsuccessful.
Each election cycle, we recruit, train, and deploy thousands of nonpartisan volunteers as the initial line of defense against confusing voting rules, outdated infrastructure, and any other challenges voters face when going to the polls.
These volunteers answer questions, help voters overcome barriers, and ensure every ballot is cast and counted.
Pamela, if you’re worried about the latest Court ruling and the repeated attacks on our right to vote – and about what they mean for our country’s future – you aren’t alone. And here’s something you can do about it.
It costs around $50 to train and place one Election Protection volunteer, so I am asking you today if you will make your first tax-deductible donation to Common Cause and sponsor a volunteer today?

Thank you for all that you do,
