Pamela: voters are under siege across the country.
Radical anti-democracy forces are working day and night to manipulate the midterm elections and beyond. The Supreme Court’s decision to gut the Voting Rights Act didn’t just open the door to immediate map manipulation across the South — it ensured that we’ll be in a redistricting crisis through the end of the decade.
The result is that the voices of millions of voters, especially in communities of color, could be silenced.
In reaction to this rush of racial and partisan gerrymandering, half of American voters say the maps should only be redrawn once a decade after the U.S. Census.
Americans remain firmly against these egregious redistricting schemes — and so does Redistricting Action. We refuse to stand by while anti-democracy forces do their worst.
We are a necessary thorn in the side of anti-democracy forces — exposing their cynical ploys and showing up to stop them from silencing American voters.
