Every American deserves clean air and water, Pamela. But today, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Monsanto to limit Americans’ ability to hold pesticide companies accountable for the impacts they have on our health.
This comes as Donald Trump is greenlighting pollution -- and we’re paying the costs with our health and medical bills. He rolled back pollution protections, weakened clean air standards, and handed favors to some of the nation's biggest corporate polluters. He’s on the path to obliterate the Clean Air Act. And now, after this ruling from the Supreme Court bolstering Trump’s moves, another powerful corporation is being shielded from accountability while families are left to bear the risks.
So, here’s what we can expect with increased exposure to major toxins like mercury, cancer-causing forever chemicals, and pesticides to be even more common:
More asthma attacks.
More cancer.
More heart disease.
More emergency room visits.
And that all comes with higher healthcare costs.
We shouldn't have to fight to breathe, Pamela. Yet, pollution is getting worse, and Americans are getting sicker by design. We demand clean air for all. Add your name if you're with us.
Thanks for taking action,
Climate Power
