BREAKING: Trump just announced a new $700 million bailout for coal, an already dead, dirty, and toxic industry, to power AI data centers wreaking havoc on our communities.
TAKE ACTION: Add your name if you agree we don’t need more toxic, polluting, and expensive coal. Data centers must power their AI expansion with cheap, clean energy that will lower our bills.
It’s true, Pamela, Trump is pushing for as many data centers as possible, writing a blank check for big tech companies, and wants to power those data centers with toxic polluting coal.
Why is it that they always seem to find taxpayer money for endless wars, gold ballrooms, UFC arenas, and bailing out the coal industry, but they never have money for climate, healthcare, or you?
If you’re thinking the EPA will step in to protect communities, it won’t. Trump’s EPA no longer acts, even if human health will be impacted by known toxins. Doesn’t matter that coal is carcinogenic and contains mercury and other toxic heavy metals no one should be breathing in.
Trump keeps taking the "protection" out of the Environmental Protection Agency, clearing the way to dismantle the Clean Air Act and giving a free pass to pollute our communities with no repercussions.
As data centers divert power from our grid, American families are footing the bill with rate hikes and medical impacts while tech companies rake in massive profits. And now, if Trump gets his way, the long-dead coal industry is going to get a big payday, too.
That’s why we’re demanding action. Data centers’ power demands must be met with cheap, clean energy that lowers our bills, not toxic and polluting coal. Add your name to let us know you’re with us.
Thanks for standing up for our health and our future,
Climate Power
