NEW: Oil prices are at their highest-ever levels. Americans paid $17 billion more at the pump. US inflation has tripled. Meanwhile, oil executives just cashed out $1.4 billion.
We need lower gas prices, energy bills, grocery prices, and health care. Take a moment to join us in demanding Trump end this affordability nightmare.
Pamela, you read that right. Just a month into this war, Trump’s affordability crisis is spiraling.
📣 FIRST: Trump’s administration cut funding from departments providing critical, life-saving support to Americans. With Elon Musk’s help, he went after the National Weather Service, FEMA, USAID, the National Parks Service, Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, and SNAP benefits. He slashed our investments in clean energy that would have cut our energy costs, gave utility companies the nod to pass rate hike after rate hike, and he’s propping up toxic, dirty, and expensive coal power plants that are doubling down on pollution.
Oh, and while Trump’s policies hit our wallets and health, he also chose to have many Americans start paying double, triple, even quadruple their health care costs overnight on January 1st. This is the affordability crisis.
🚨 THEN: Donald Trump began a "massive and ongoing" military operation in Iran -- dragging the country into another dangerous, costly, and reckless war. Instead of focusing on how to make life more affordable for our families -- or providing adequate relief and recovery to communities hit by storms, fires, and floods -- the Trump regime somehow found room in the budget to spend $31 billion in taxpayer money (that’s ours, y’all) to create another humanitarian crisis, bomb civilians, and help Big Oil cash out $1.4 billion so far from this war.
💰 NOW: Every chance they get, Trump and his cronies in Congress leave families and workers to pay the price.
Many Americans are choosing between the food we put on our tables and filling up the gas tank or paying our energy bills on time. This cannot go on.
ADD YOUR NAME, Pamela: It’s time to end the affordability crisis Trump has created. Americans agree we need lower gas prices, health care bills, grocery prices, and energy costs -- not another costly war overseas.
Together, we are exposing Trump’s affordability crisis, holding him accountable, and demanding our lawmakers stand with American workers and families. Thank you for being in this fight.
