Trump deploying ICE at airports across the country is another expansion of his authoritarian regime. Steve Bannon said Trump sending ICE agents to terrorize weary travelers at airports is a testing ground for mass voter intimidation in November.
Trump’s “border czar” Tom Homan even said this week that ICE could stay at airports to “plug holes” even after TSA is funded. This comes after reports revealed that TSA tipped off ICE before agents violently arrested a mother and daughter at the San Francisco airport.
Trump and his loyalists in Congress create chaos and then expand the far-right security state to spread fear and violence. Congress must end this cycle.

Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon said the White House “can use what’s happening with ICE at the airports, we can use this as a test run, as a test case, to really perfect ICE’s involvement in the 2026 midterm elections.”
Before sending in ICE to create even more chaos at America’s airports, Trump ranted, “If the Radical Left Democrats don’t immediately sign an agreement to let our Country, in particular, our Airports, be FREE and SAFE again, I will move our brilliant and patriotic ICE Agents to the Airports where they will do Security like no one has ever seen before.”
Trump is using his far-right security police to intimidate people and pressure lawmakers to give in to his authoritarian demands. Trump’s forces don’t belong in airports, at polling places, or anywhere else. Congress must end Trump’s latest ICE deployment.
