Pamela,
There’s one basic principle at the heart of our mission: every voter should have a fair, meaningful opportunity to make their voice heard in our elections.
That’s why we fight for fair maps. That’s why we fight for voting rights. And that’s why we fight to make sure our elections run smoothly.
One of the most important ways to ensure well-run, accessible elections is to help make sure polling places have all the poll workers we need.
You don’t need to have any experience — experienced pros will make sure you get the training and information you need.
If you can’t be a poll worker, will you do the next best thing and make a donation today to help fuel our work for free and fair elections?
These are important jobs in every election, but they’ll carry even more significance this year.
Anti-democracy forces are trying to throw sand in the gears of the voting process. But that only succeeds if communities aren’t prepared. And well-trained poll workers can make all the difference to make sure voters have a quick, easy, and even rewarding experience.
Keep scrolling down to read a message from my colleague Jacob, who talks about what it was like when he served as a poll worker. And if you’re ready, today’s a great day to join the nearly 7,000 people that Redistricting Action and our affiliates have helped recruit as poll workers in past elections.
Thank you,
Ted Corcoran

Pamela, I’m writing with an easy way for you to be a hero for our democracy.
Every election is powered by thousands of individuals who help make it easy for voters in their communities to cast their ballots.
But poll workers could matter even more this year. Election administrators already tend to have a tough time recruiting people for the midterm elections. And as long as extreme actors are actively looking to make it harder for some people to vote, we want to help elections go smoothly to ensure the will of the people is heard.
If you’re reading this email, chances are no one is better suited for this important role. Will you answer the call?
Yes, I’ll sign up to be a poll worker this fall. Our partner, Power the Polls, will get in touch to get you all set up to make a difference.
No, I can’t this year, but I’ll help fund Redistricting Action’s critical pro-democracy work.
Redistricting Action and our affiliates are proud to have helped recruit over close to 7,000 poll workers in past elections. I’ve served as a poll worker in the past, and many of my friends and family have done the same. And it is incredibly rewarding.
Not only are you actively helping turn the gears of our democracy — but you’re the face of our elections in your community. You’re proof that everyone’s voice matters. You get to greet voters and even hand out the always popular “I voted!” stickers. (Plus, poll workers often get paid.)
If you’ve ever thought about taking time out to help ensure our elections go smoothly, this is a critical year to give it a try. Sign up to be a poll worker today.
Thanks for all you do,
Jacob Carrel
