We all know Trump has used his position in the White House to enrich himself, his family, and his sycophants. Now, he’s nominated his personal lawyer to be the next Attorney General of the United States.
If you’re wondering why the name sounds familiar, it’s because it’s his former criminal defense lawyer who represented Trump during the trial that made him a felon.
And as acting AG, Blanche has already shown how he would act if approved. He’s supported the extremely unpopular $1.76 billion slush fund that would pay out Trump’s allies. That scheme is so outlandish and corrupt that even Senate Republicans, people notable for having no spine, revolted and had a federal court block it.
Blanche has overseen insane amounts of corruption and he’s not even the official attorney general. Just imagine the carnage he’ll sign off on - and enable - if he becomes the actual attorney general.
Trump has installed his cronies and yes-men all throughout the federal government, approving all of his whims and doing whatever makes him happy. The Senate has an opportunity here to show us that they have courage and a strong backbone to work for the people who actually hired them: their constituents.
We must stand up against Trump and demand that his dangerous pick for attorney general will not do. Add your name alongside thousands of people to say no to Todd Blanche for attorney general.
