Friend, Sunday is Mother’s Day, and across the United States, millions of mothers are doing everything they can to set their children up for success.
Working multiple jobs. Stretching every dollar. Showing up for their kids day after day with love, grit and determination.
And still, too many families can’t access quality child care. That’s not a personal failure — it’s a policy failure.
The first years of a child’s life are the most critical window for cognitive, social and emotional development. When families can’t access quality early learning — because it’s too expensive or simply not available — children fall behind. And their parents are left making impossible choices no one should have to make. Our sister organization, Save the Children Action Network (SCAN), is calling on Congress to fund early childhood education programs. Will you sign SCAN’s petition to send a message to your elected officials demanding they fund essential programs that help children and families succeed?
