Pamela, an ICE agent shot and killed Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old mom of three, in Minneapolis yesterday. It's a disturbing, unnecessary tragedy, and our hearts go out to her family and loved ones.[1]
In response, the White House propaganda machine went on the offensive with falsehoods that directly contradict widely shared video footage of the murder, while Secretary of Homeland Security Noem attacked the victim and defended the shooting.
They're scrambling to tell you lies to distract you from the truth: They are building a world where federal agents can terrorize communities and murder a woman in broad daylight and face no consequences.
| ACT NOW |
Good's murder is only the latest in a series of disturbing shootings and deaths at the hands of ICE agents. At least five people have been killed by federal officers since Trump entered office.[2] Unless something changes, this killing likely will not be the last.
We must reject this state violence as a new normal.
Trump and Stephen Miller have shown their horrible vision: A weaponized immigration policy that uses immigration enforcement agents as a lawless and repressive militia in our communities. But even a president can't do his worst if champions in Congress, movement partners, and people like us create roadblocks left and right — and that's exactly what we're set on doing.
It will take all of us working together to build a world where everyone can have dignity and thrive without the fear of violence. Please act now.
Thank you for working for peace,
