The work your support makes possible

This outpouring of support sends a resounding message that the American people will be heard.

Today, we're in the midst of a redistricting crisis — and our democracy needs to be actively defended every day. That's why All On The Line is now Redistricting Action — a grassroots movement built for the critical fights ahead. Thank you for being part of it.

Pamela,

We did it: Together, we reached our goal of raising $50,000 before the end of the year — and that support will now be matched dollar-for-dollar, resources that will be critical in the days ahead.

From all of us at Redistricting Action, thank you for this outpouring of support. It sends a clear and resounding message that Americans will not let cynical politicians silence us.

We aren't wasting a moment putting these resources to use. Concrete threats are knocking at our door, and we're deploying our grassroots movement to meet them:

  • Florida is accelerating their push to redraw their congressional map, and we expect that the new map will suppress the voices of communities of color. Keep in mind they already have a deeply gerrymandered map — something that will get worse if map manipulators get their way.

  • Missouri citizens rose up and gathered over 300,000 signatures to put the state's gerrymandered map on the ballot. Despite this display of democracy at work, anti-democracy forces are doing their best to shut it down — and planning to spend millions to defeat the initiative.

  • Kansas legislative leaders have vowed to consider redistricting in their session that begins in January, and have set their sights on Representative Sharice Davids' seat — the lone Democrat representing the state in Congress.

Redistricting Action is responding to all of these concrete threats rising in state legislatures. Meanwhile, we're keeping a close watch on the Supreme Court, which will rule soon on a case that could strike at the heart of the Voting Rights Act, the crown jewel of the civil rights movement. Our affiliate has been part of the effort to battle this out in court since the beginning of this case — and Redistricting Action is preparing to dive into action as soon as the ruling comes down.

Your support is enabling us to take on these known fights, and whatever unknown fights lie ahead, Pamela. Thank you

From all of us at Redistricting Action, we wish you a happy and healthy New Year.
