They voted to continue Trump’s illegal war of choice

This is how we stop a war. ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏  ‌͏

Trump's war with Iran is spiraling out of control, Pamela. Since the U.S.-Israeli strikes began a week ago, White House officials have widened their timelines from days to weeks, to now months. It's the making of a new endless war.

Instead of stepping in to stop a devastating catastrophe that now covers 14 countries, a slim majority of Congress failed to pass a war powers resolution to stop the war this week. But here's where it gets interesting: We're just EIGHT votes short — and as more legislative opportunities to stop and defund this war quickly move, we're going all in.

We're starting with a multi-pronged ad campaign to remind constituents of their elected officials' failure to meet the moment, hold the anti-war coalition in Congress together, and continue building power to get the majority we need to stop the violence and save lives.

This accountability effort is critical as the next big legislative hurdle — a reported $50 BILLION supplemental request from the Trump administration to fund more war — looms large. With such thin margins in Congress, an effective, eye-catching, and far-reaching campaign like this can make all the difference. Can you help get it off the ground?

Six U.S. servicemembers are dead. More than 1,000 people in Iran have been killed, including at least 176 children. And as the violence escalates by the day, spreading into Lebanon and terrorizing countries throughout the region, the death toll is likely to skyrocket.

Just one in four Americans supports this war.[1] It's not hard to see why. The administration hasn't even bothered to get its rationale for the war straight, despite the fact that costs are expected to quickly reach $100 BILLION if it continues.[2]

Congress' failure to rein Trump in has only emboldened him. And it's time for a change. Our goal now is simple: Make sure every member of Congress hears an unequivocal message from the anti-war majority to use their constitutional authority to end the violence and save lives.

We have to move quickly, Pamela. Already, weapons CEOs are flocking to the White House, hawks are speaking out from dozens of media pulpits, and the war lobby is knocking on doors across Capitol Hill to push for more taxpayer dollars for Trump's war on Iran.

A multi-prong approach like this can reach tens of thousands of people and put the pressure on lawmakers where they'll feel it the most: in their hometowns. Are you ready to join in?

We've seen this playbook before: reckless intervention sold as liberation, only to leave countries shattered and the world less safe. It's the same failed logic that dragged the United States into disastrous wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya.

We will not sit back and let history repeat itself. And the truth is that people pushing for peace are the majority — but we have to force Congress to listen.

War is not inevitable. It's a choice. And when people across the country come together, we can show decision-makers that we will not stand for yet another endless war.

Thank you for working for peace,
The Win Without War team
