There's no sugarcoating the threats to free and fair elections. In a stunning new poll conducted by PBS/NPR/Marist, the percentage of Americans who think their state will run a fair election in November has sunk to its lowest figure in years.

As if that wasn't already concerning, 58% of voters believe that when people show up to cast their ballots, they will be turned away and told they are not eligible to vote.
That's not an accident, Pamela — anti-democracy extremists have launched a concerted effort to make it harder to vote, and the people are making note of these attacks.
This is dangerous territory for a democracy. And it's why we fight day in and day out for voting rights and fairness in our elections. Because when Americans distrust the fairness of elections, democracy itself is weakened.
