Here's an update on government funding

Until Congress can actually deliver on that bare minimum, we need to tell them: no vacations.

They're leaving their jobs unfinished, then skipping town for vacation – with no clear path forward on cutting a deal, ending the shutdown, or reining in Trump's secret police. And if you're planning to fly in the next few weeks, be sure to bake in extra time to get through security – because Congress's vacation could very well make you late for yours! Listen, Speaker Johnson and President Trump have pulled this before: crank up the pain on ordinary people until the other party caves. And, the only reason this hasn't happened yet is because people like you are showing you'll hold leaders in all parties accountable. But here's something Trump & Johnson are right about: a scheme like this is the only way they can get the $10 billion blank check they want for ICE – because they know it's the last thing the people want right now. Pamela, we don't have time for partisan finger-pointing – and while nobody likes long lines, this fight is about something bigger. We just need our government to do its job, end this shutdown, and stop ICE from terrorizing us. That shouldn't be too much to ask!
