ICE needs to be reined in.
Friends, The deadline to fund the Department of Homeland Security is days away, and what Americans are seeing on their streets is unacceptable. Across this country, federal immigration agents are operating like a rogue force. Masked. Unidentified. Entering homes without warrants. Dragging people off the street. Beating and detaining people with zero accountability. And in Minneapolis, two Americans – Renée Good and Alex Pretti – were killed in broad daylight. This is not America. And it cannot be funded. If you believe this violence must stop and DHS funding must come with real guardrails, add your name now and demand change. Senate and House Democrats are united: we will not provide the votes for DHS funding unless ICE is reined in and the violence ends. That means ending roving patrols where agents pick people up without warrants. It means no more masked, unidentified officers acting like secret police. It means real use-of-force standards, oversight, and consequences when abuses occur. It means protecting schools, churches, hospitals, and polling places from enforcement raids. These are not radical demands. They are the bare minimum. The same standards every other law enforcement agency in America is required to follow. Senate Republicans face a choice: negotiate and put these protections into law, or double down on chaos and own every abuse that follows. If you agree DHS funding must be used to protect the public, not terrorize it, stand with us and demand accountability for ICE. Sincerely, Chuck Schumer | This email was sent to .
