Pamela, The Trump administration is inflicting unprecedented violence and cruelty on immigrants. Parents are separated from their children, colleagues are taken from their workplaces, and people who have a right to remain lawfully in their communities are pressured to give up and accept deportation.
Every person facing deportation deserves to be treated with dignity and to have the chance to understand and defend their rights.
That's why Vera created the Safety and Fairness for Everyone (SAFE) Network, a partnership with local and state governments, legal service providers, and advocates across the country working together to create and expand programs that publicly fund legal representation for people facing detention and deportation. |
