Pamela,
September is a huge month for us at Common Cause Florida. The seasons are changing, school is back in session…and it’s also National Voter Registration Month AND the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month.
This month, we want to get back to what’s important. We want to remind ourselves, and you, what’s really at stake right now. We want to discuss threats to democracy across the Americas, and we’re bringing in our friends from the Florida Immigrant Coalition (FLIC) to help us break it down.
Join on Wednesday, September 16, at 1:00 PM EST
This month’s Common Cause Florida Democracy Seminar, we’re talking about Hispanic Heritage and the Fight for Global Democracy. We’re examining lessons learned from the fight for democracy in the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Chile and Colombia, and how this movement and the ongoing fight for voting rights in Florida are part of a shared struggle to prevent the erosion of our democracy.
Register and join us in the conversation. We look forward to touching base with you all, and sharing some reminders on why our democracy is worth fighting for.
We hope to see you there!
