The SAVE Act Hall of Shame

These aren't household names

Pamela, we've got a line-up featuring some of the people who have been leading the charge for a modern-day poll tax that has the potential to block tens of millions of eligible Americans from voting.

But before we get into the details, we wanted to let you know how grateful we are for your support. Senate Republicans have not been able to get the SAVE Act passed and delivered to Trump's desk for signature. Why? Because this grassroots movement, alongside our partners in the space, have made it clear: We will not stand for this anti-voter, anti-democracy bill. Thank you for your support in this fight.

SAVE Act Hall of Shame

Cleta Mitchell
1. Drafted an early version of the bill and was thanked by the 2025 House bill sponsor
2. Lawyer for Trump 2020
3. Joined Trump's infamous call pressuring Georgia's Secretary of State to "find" 11,780 votes
4. Created the Election Integrity Network, a well-funded anti-democracy machine to push anti-voter laws and install loyalists in government

Thomas Lane
1. "Personally drafted and added" new provisions that make the SAVE Act even more extreme, according to a spokesperson for Lane's organization
2. Election Integrity Director for America First Policy Institute, a group that trumpets the MAGA anti-democracy agenda
3. Former staffer for Trump 2020 who was involved in the Arizona fake electors plot

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX)
1. Lead sponsor who got it passed through the House of Representatives
2. Has been boosting versions of this legislation for nearly two years

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT)
1. Lead sponsor in the Senate
2. Leaning on Senate Republicans to ram through the bill by getting around the filibuster rules

Pamela, with your support, we are holding strong against this mass voter suppression legislation. The SAVE Act has stalled in the Senate. Republicans in Congress thought it was a sure win — but it's because of this strong grassroots team, alongside our pro-democracy partners, that the SAVE Act is still not law.

Every additional action we take makes our movement that much stronger. And we couldn't be more grateful for the activists like you who keep up the fight.

Thank you,

The Fair Fight Action Team
