The President needs to rein in ICE

Friend, Kristi Noem has been fired. Good riddance. From day one, her tenure was defined by a toxic mix of cruelty, corruption, and incompetence. I called for her removal for months, and I'm glad to see her go. But make no mistake, the problems at the Department of Homeland Security go far deeper than any one person. Americans in every corner of this country have watched and recorded a federal agency running amok: masked officers, unidentified agents, homes raided without warrants, people dragged away in broad daylight. Our communities deserve better. ICE must be held accountable for terrorizing neighborhoods, operating outside the law, and killing American citizens Noem is gone, but the accountability cannot stop with her.
