Pamela,
The 2026 Florida Legislative Session has concluded and we have important updates to share, including more information on the Florida SAVE Act and the upcoming April Special Legislative Session.
Join us on Friday, March 20 from 1:00-2:00 PM ET, for our March Democracy Seminar and Legislative Debrief.

The Florida version of the SAVE Act, requiring documentary proof of citizenship, has passed and is now awaiting the Governor's signature. However, thanks to your advocacy, this law will not go into effect until January 2027, meaning Florida's 2026 midterm elections will be protected from this harmful law.
Join us this Friday for a full debrief on what occurred during the 2026 Florida Legislative Session. This is a great opportunity to ask questions directly to our State Director who spent the last two months passionately advocating in Tallahassee on behalf of Common Cause.
This debrief was originally scheduled for this Wednesday, but we have to reschedule because we'll be deep in the fight against the federal SAVE Act. At Common Cause Florida, we are committed to doing everything we can to defend our democracy, push back against anti-voter attacks, and advance social justice across the state.
The Friday debrief is an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect with others who are passionate about building more representative and inclusive democratic systems.
Register and join us in the conversation. Together, we'll make sure every Floridian's voice is heard and our democracy stays strong.
We hope to see you there!
The team at Common Cause Florida
