Donald Trump's meeting with tech executives at the White House last week was absolutely useless, Pamela.
Trump is looking to evade responsibility for skyrocketing energy costs, so he asked tech companies to sign a nonbinding "pledge" that promises they will pay for the power their data centers need. Nonbinding is the key word here: It isn't enforceable, there are no real requirements, and there's no consequences if they don't follow through. So of course they signed it, and posed for the photo op, too.
American families are footing the bill for data centers that strain the power grid and raise bills while tech companies rake in massive profits -- and if Trump gets his way, the fossil fuel industry will get a big payday, too, to provide the energy needed.
With skyrocketing bills, strained grids, and communities polluted, there's only one answer -- data centers must be powered by affordable clean energy that will lower energy costs. Pamela, add your name now.
When trillion-dollar tech companies build massive AI infrastructure, they shouldn't be allowed to pass the costs onto working families. Clean energy is the cheapest and fastest option to solve a problem that is already impacting people right now. Our reliance on foreign oil or the dying coal industry will only cost us more.
Trump and Big Tech's toothless pledge isn't a plan. Real accountability and sustainable action is. And we're ready to fight for it with your help, Pamela.
