Trump: Republicans should “take over the voting” and “nationalize the voting”

His intentions are serious, but our movement will hold firm 

It doesn't get much more blatant than this, Pamela. On Monday, February 2, appearing on a far-right podcast, Donald Trump shared how he wants the MAGA GOP to take over elections in America. Watch the clip here. You won't have to listen to his voice for longer than 20 seconds, but some things need to be heard in order to be truly processed. But we know that Trump will try anything he can to seize as much power as possible. Trump's intentions are serious. His autocratic ambitions are clear. But our pro-democracy movement will hold firm. As he and his national Republican allies continue trying to pass a mass disenfranchisement bill (the so-called "SAVE Act"), we will work even harder to elect Democracy Champions. As anti-voter extremists keep spreading voter suppression tactics around the country, we will keep up our work to give voters the information they need to speak out at the ballot box. Republicans are clearly scared to face voters in free and fair elections. But we won't stop fighting back against their attempts to restrict access to the ballot box and their efforts to cling to power despite the will of the people.
